The 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition game, Reefscape, challenges teams to design and build robots to complete tasks in an ocean-themed environment focused on coral reef restoration. Teams score points by placing game pieces called coral onto their reef structures, with higher placements earning more points. Additional points are earned by collecting and scoring algae, which can be delivered into a processor for higher points or into a net for fewer. During the endgame, robots can score further by climbing onto elevated cages on a central barge or by parking underneath it. Teams must avoid penalties for rule violations, as fouls and repeated infractions can significantly impact their final score.
