NewEgg Field Trip

On Thursday, Janruary 29, 7 members were selected to visit NewEgg's Diamond Bar facility. Along with FBLA, E-Sports, and PCA Cinematics, we were introduced to workers by our tour guide across departments -- from UI/UX to customer service, photography, advertising, and more! We got a brief look into each of their jobs, listened to their experience at the company, and heard some words of wisdom. My (publicity lead) favorite part was the UI/UX department because it was inspiring to see how graphic design fits into a company focused on technology. After learning more about the departments, we paused for a lunch break where we talked to the host, played ping-pong, and ate delicious sandwiches.
Following lunch, we walked into the Gamer Zone -- a room filled with high quality devices to handle games. One of the coolest parts was the simulation that looked like a space ship! It cost almost as much as a car. We gathered around the PC building center where two ladies walked us through the different PC parts and showed us how to assemble a working PC. They made a very difficult process digestible and simple. We then had an hour of free play, with members testing out the racing simulators or playing Valorant.
We are really grateful for this oppurtunity and would like to work alongside the company in the future to advertise the Gamer Zone!
