Yimbo "Walk for the World" 2026

On March 15th, 2026, Team Sprocket hosted its annual Yimbo “Walk for the World”  Walkathon. During this event, members of our community walk the same distance in which Yimbo students travel each day to attend school. Organized in partnership with Dedicated2Learning Inc., the walkathon raises funds to support STEM resources for children in Yimbo, Kenya. 

In addition to the walk, people were also able to participate in a variety of lively and exciting activities such as relay races and water balloon tossing. These cooperative games helped foster a strong sense of community while encouraging teamwork and connection among participants.

A member of the outreach team, Brista, relates “I thought this event was very fun and engaging. It’s a great way for our community to enjoy themselves and participate in something that goes towards a great cause. Also, it’s nice that this event helps other students and lets them know that people across the globe care about them too.”
