FTC Blog 2025

Updated: Jan 31

Last weekend, Team Sprocket hosted 2025’s FTC event “Into the Deep” where many robotic teams from different schools competed at Diamond Bar High School. Thank you to the mentors and alumni for giving up their time to help guide us in this event! There were many highlights to this event including when our business captain, Kevin, performed a beautiful rendition of the star spangled banner on violin, as well as a surprise birthday cake for a wonderful host Theresa. Additionally, we were able to use Team Sprocket’s claw machine for the first time in this event! Many competitors were able to win a prize. Here's what our members and mentors thought about FTC:

Emily Luo, a programming member and our emcee for this event, exclaimed, “I think that this event ran really smoothly and I was really happy to see everyone’s talent, creativity, and hard work that was put into these robots!”

Furthermore, Jolene, our outreach lead, said “It was great seeing the kids working together, and it was really inspiring to see how excited they were to show off their robots!”

Nikk recalled, "I was queuer. I think it was a great event and got to meet many other teams. The innovative robots never fail to inspire me."
